Fully upholstered fabric backs - not just a cushioned pad
Frames are electrically seam welded 18 gauge 7/8" tubular steel
Cross supports are 5/8" 18 gauge steel tubing
Seats are 20 Gauge steel with 1 1/4" foam and covered in Scotchguard treated fabric
Backs are 20 gauge steel with 1/2" foam and covered in Scotchguard treated fabric
Leg glides are replaceable non-marring polyethylene
Foam meets California code flame retardant requirements
Double hinge on each side of chair to prevent legs from buckling
"V" Shape Plugs on rear legs for added stability
Two Rear Double Riveted "U" Brace -- far stronger than any other welded straight brace
ANSI BIFMA approved

I have had these chairs for a while now and ordered some more. They are very sturdy and confortable and probaly the best folding chair I have ever seen. They are a touch heavier but well worth it. They are worth every dime of their expense. - jmac
