Unit was darker than shown in the picture which was perfect for me. It shows up natural but is really a golden oak color. Ours arrived damaged but was Fed Ex fault not the company's. We were able to deal with the damage instead of returning. Quality was above average for a "put it together type" furniture. - Kathy
